An Important Notification Regarding the COVID-19 Global Pandemic

While the impacts of the COVID-19 crisis are continually evolving, our commitment to honouring and celebrating life will be our focus. We are working with the latest advice from the Department of Health and Human Services(DHHS) to adapt our services and procedures to protect the health and wellbeing of our employees, partners and the community we serve.

Under more stringent social distancing guidelines imposed by the Australian Government, from 26 March 2020, the maximum attendees for burials, chapel services and functions will be ten (10) people. The ten-person limit includes family members and funeral director staff.

These new on-site attendee restrictions are in addition to the four square metres per person social distancing directives. We understand the added pain these new restrictions place on families, and our hearts are with those who are affected by these unprecedented times.

We have communicated these changes with the Funeral Directors that work with us. They can guide you on arrangements and discuss options for filming your service for those who are unable to attend on the day.

We understand the importance of saying goodbye to loved ones and appreciate the added difficulty of restrictions imposed on families. We have a shared responsibility to comply with the Australian Governments public health measures to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

When attending, we respectfully ask that you comply with the governments directive for those that are unwell or recently travelled internationally and self-isolate.

Key summary:

  • Ten (10) people maximum – A maximum attendance of ten (10) people will apply to all burials, chapel services and functions. The ten-person maximum will include client families and funeral director staff.
  • Social distancing directives will still apply – the new restriction is in addition to requiring at least four square metres per person.
